1.  Place the book inside of the machine for 1 minute. This heats up the publisher's glue and loosens the spine further.

2.  Take the book out of the machine and beginning at the center, pull the book apart so that you can see the spine.

3.  Cut a glue strip to fit the spine of your paperback.  Be sure to cut it
1-1/2" shorter than the actual spine of your book to avoid the glue
leaking out the ends once it begins to heat in the machine.

4.  Center your glue strip on the spine of your book and close the book.
Line the pages up neatly so that all of them soak in the glue once the
machine begins to heat the glue strip.

5.  Place your book back into the machine for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
You will want to begin pushing down on the pages after about one minute and
realigning the pages as well at this point to make sure all pages are set in the glue.
After the 1 minute and 30 seconds is up, remove the book from the machine, lay it on its
spine on the cooling rack and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.  Do not attempt to open the book
  during the cooling process.
